I’m married to an amazing man who I usually refer to here as “HB.” Together, we’ve raised four strapping men who have married beautiful and amazing daughters in-love (as I like to call them), and have brought fourteen grandchildren into our mighty and rowdy clan. Let me just say…we have a REALLY noisy home, but we love it!
Andy and I are empty-nester’s now, so we’re journeying onto new trails…
He has always had a desire to learn to play the guitar, so he’s venturing down that road and making great progress. I wake up each morning to the sound of him strumming and I think it’s beautiful.
As for me, I have always had a passionate love for writing, so I’m finally taking the big step of putting it out here for real eyes to see.
I’m someone who’s walked down many paths in my life, and I’ve learned a few things along the way. My writing is mostly self-reflections and words of encouragement. An extreme optimist by nature, (which drives many nuts), I’ve got a pick-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps-and-move-forward sort of mentality, which is my driving force for encouraging others on their own journey. Occasionally, I’ll throw in a few little random tidbits of other things about life that perplex and/or make me laugh. I mean, hey, we definitely need to laugh at this crazy world we live in.
My words are honest, casual and simple and my hope is that they will lift your spirit or give you some good food for thought as you walk through your day – and your life. Maybe you’ll find something here that someone you know needs to hear, so you’ll pass it on. The thought of that makes me smile.
Simply put, I’m just a girl after God’s own heart. I live simply, I love passionately, I laugh cheerfully, I drink coffee habitually, and … I write.
So pour yourself a cup of coffee (or whatever it is you prefer to put in your cup),
